Frequently Asked Questions
1. What areas do you recruit in? For temporary and support positions placed by our Staffing division, we focus our work in the Triad area of North Carolina. Our Search Division recruits nationwide for professional and advanced level positions.
2. How do your fees work? For temporary and temporary to hire positions, the placed candidate is an APR employee and is paid a competitive hourly rate. The client is invoiced an hourly rate that includes the employee's pay plus our expenses and profit. The Search Division recruits on a contingency basis, charging a fee based on the estimated first year earnings when a referred candidate is hired by a client. The fee structure is standard for search firms in our industry; fee negotiations and agreements occur at the onset of the recruiting process prior to candidate submissions and interviews. Our fee is earned through our professional recruitment and evaluation of candidates, management and coordination of the interview process and skillfully "closing the deal." Unfortunately, the actual on the job performance of an individual is out of our control and therefore is not related to the fees for our services.
3. What is the benefit in using APR? We specialize in developing a complete understanding of our clients and their business. Therefore, when a staffing or recruiting need arises, we are able to apply this understanding along with the position requirements to achieve the best possible fit for the job. We view the relationship with a client as a true ongoing partnership, not just a series of order fulfillment events. An emphasis on professionalism, high ethics and thoroughness permeates all of our interactions with clients and candidates.
4. How do you find candidates? We use "direct recruiting" efforts carried out through cold recruit calls as well as networking calls to a vast array of contacts across the country. Our web site is another recruiting source. Please browse the rest of our site to see job postings and on-line application pages for candidates. In addition, we use job fairs, print advertising, broadcast advertising, candidate and client referrals, government agencies and a well developed local network to identify and attract candidates.
5. What background investigations and other evaluations do you perform on candidates? As a standard practice, our staff performs employment reference/verification phone calls for the two or three most recent employers a candidate has listed, degree verification for educational credentials and administers computerized evaluations for relevant PC software and clerical skills. We also perform credit and /or criminal investigations and administer drug screens at client request.
