Senior Manufacturing Accountant

 

Our client, a leader in the manufacture of quality contract, healthcare, educational and governmental furniture for over 60 years is seeking a Senior Accountant. This is a great opportunity for a senior accountant to work for a small but growing furniture manufacturer.

 

Duties Include:

  • Maintain the general ledger (Reconciliation of accounts monthly)
  • Prepare monthly balance sheets, income statements, P&L statements
  • Perform month end closing
  • Reconciles bank accounts, verifies deposits and disbursements – Works directly with banks on policies and procedures
  • Performs general cost accounting for the organization
  • Provides outside auditors with audit workpapers at year end for auditors to use to perform annual audit

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Accounting or related field
  • 4 years of related experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting
  • Proficient with Microsoft office suite, experience with IBM I series system
  • Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles
  • A/R and A/P experience
  • Supervisory experience
  • Inventory experience
