Accounting Manager

Our client is a long established and growing company located in the Triad (central NC). We are conducting a search for a talented technical accounting professional for their expansion position of Accounting Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Reporting to the CFO, the Accounting Manager will be responsible for the following areas:

  • Supervising Accounts Payable and Equipment/Contract Administration.
  • On a Weekly basis: Contract Maintenance, Billing, Cash Receipts Posting, Payroll Journal Entry, Job Cost Reports (Field Managers).
  • On a Monthly basis: Sales Tax Reports, Fixed Assets, Journal Entries, Account Reconciliation, Financial and Job Cost Reports.
  • On an Annual basis: Property Tax Filing, Financial Audit Support, Tax Preparation Support.

Job Requirements


  • Accounting Degree preferred.
  • CPA or CMA a plus but not required.
  • Solid understanding of Basic Accounting Processes and Theory.
  • Strong Analysis and Reconciliation Skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong Communication Skills - will need to interact with both Operational and Administrative Personnel.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to comprehend and differentiate processes in different software systems.
  • Contract accounting and Timberline software experience are both helpful but not required.
