Advanced Personnel Resources is seeking an experienced Customer Account Specialist for a new opportunity with our client, a leading manufacturing company in the Triad. Qualified candidates should have a strong background in Technical Customer Service and Account Management within the Manufacturing industry. Our client offers excellent benefits and starting pay is negotiable based on experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Take orders daily from customers via e-mail or fax and enter those into the system.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and provide efficient resolution to billing and technical support requests.
  • Assist customers in understanding highly technical product specifications and product troubleshooting.
  • Provide the production scheduler with orders that need to be produced along with requested ship dates from the customer.
  • Provide the customer order acknowledgements containing "have ready" dates within 48 hours.
  • Review the production schedule on a regular basis in order to provide the customer information regarding changes in "have ready'' dates.
  • Schedule the arrangement of shipments and provide the warehouse with dispatches of what needs to be shipped.
  • Invoice material shipped on a daily basis and update to the general ledger.
  • Enter credit notes for claims/rebates, etc.
  • Interact daily with customers to satisfy their needs and questions.

OTHER FUNCTIONS

  • Receive freight invoices weekly and match them to shipments (comparing quoted costs verses actual) and give to accounting.
  • File all shipments, invoices and sales orders entered.
  • Fill out credit release request forms when customer's accounts are placed on credit hold due to past dues.
  • Calculate rebates for customers on a monthly basis.
