Job Description

Advanced Personnel Resources is seeking an experienced Freight Dispatcher for a new opening with our client, an established transportation and logistics firm located in the Greensboro area. As a Freight Broker, you will be responsible for brokering freight, negotiating rates, and utilizing load boards such as DAT, Sylectus, and Internet Truck Stop. Your role will involve building and maintaining relationships with carriers and shippers to ensure successful transportation of goods.

Job Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Source, negotiate and book freight to meet customer demand
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers and shippers
  • Negotiate rates and secure capacity with carriers
  • Utilize load boards such as DAT, Sylectus, and Internet Truck Stop to find available loads
  • Track shipments and provide updates to customers
  • Resolve any issues or challenges that may arise during the transportation process
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a high level of professionalism

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience as a Freight Broker
  • Strong knowledge of brokering freight and negotiating rates
  • Familiarity with load boards such as DAT, Sylectus, and Internet Truck Stop
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize effectively
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred
