Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate airfreight and ground freight shipments, both domestically and internationally.
- Liaise with airlines, trucking companies, and other transport providers to secure bookings and ensure timely pickups and deliveries.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of international customs regulations and procedures.
- Prepare necessary shipping documentation including airway bills, bill of lading, customs forms, and other required documents.
- Track and monitor shipments from pickup to delivery, ensuring timely communication with clients regarding any delays or issues.
- Quote and negotiate freight rates and transit times with clients and transport providers.
- Resolve any arising problems or complaints in the shipping process.
- Ensure compliance with all company, local, state, national, and international regulations related to freight and shipping.
- Maintain a digital and physical filing system for all shipment records.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with carriers and clients to foster a positive working environment and ensure repeat business.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in airfreight and ground freight operations.
- Strong understanding of customs regulations and international shipping documentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
