PAYROLL COORDINATOR - open due to PROMOTION

 

Our client, a well-established growing Greensboro based company, has an immediate opening due to a promotion. The work environment is a professional office environment.

 

Reporting to the HR Manager, the Payroll Coordinator/Administrator compiles and processes employee data for in-house payroll. Responsible for all tasks necessary to accomplish the organization's payroll processing objectives with a high degree of confidentiality. This position requires an extremely detail orientated person with significant knowledge of payroll administration, including state and federal regulations. This position processes all payroll related time entry, tax deposits, reports, benefit deductions, and audit document requests.

 

Job Duties:

  • Analyzes, prepares and inputs payroll data. Typically uses automated system to produce accurate and timely payroll. Ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws.
  • Prepares reports for management including but not limited to gross payroll, hours worked, vacation and sick accruals, tax deductions, benefit deductions, etc.
  • Poll electronic time clocks and review the downloaded information for completeness and accuracy.
  • Contact various department supervisors for any missed times.
  • Load new employee data into system
  • Prepare, request, and mail all appropriate tax and/or garnishment requests.
  • Review quarterly payroll tax reports for federal and multiple states.
  • Travel: None expected but occasionally may travel to another local office.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of FULL IN-HOUSE payroll experience with proficiency in compiling payroll data. Experience with Optimum payroll and Paychex system a plus. Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.
  • Analytical processing skills, detail oriented, critical thinking skills.
  • Organizational and project management skills.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Will be responsible for handling some HR tasks.
