Biosafety Compliance Specialist
Advanced Personnel Resources is seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Biosafety Compliance Specialist to support biosafety operations within a dynamic research environment. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in animal care, biosafety protocols, and regulatory compliance to ensure safe and effective laboratory practices. This role will work closely with research staff, administrative personnel, and regulatory stakeholders to uphold high standards of safety and confidentiality.
- On-site in Greensboro
- $30–$37/hour (DOE)
- Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Long-term Contract that could go perm
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply CDC, NIH, and institutional biosafety policies and regulations to lab procedures and research operations.
- Provide technical guidance and support to scientific personnel on biosafety and containment practices.
- Maintain thorough, accurate records and documentation; assist with taking meeting minutes as needed.
- Conduct risk assessments related to biosafety levels (BSL) and containment procedures.
- Support the development and enforcement of biosafety protocols and safety standards.
- Ensure confidentiality in handling sensitive research data and compliance matters.
- Utilize electronic research systems, including InfoEd (preferred), to manage and track biosafety-related data.
