Financial Business Controller | Banking

Advanced Personnel Resources is partnering with a respected local banking institution to identify a Controller to join their leadership team. This role will oversee the bank’s accounting operations, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance, while supporting strategic financial decision-making.

Salary Range: $75,000–$95,000 (based on experience) (Onsite in the Triad, not remote/hybrid)

Position Summary

The Controller is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining internal controls, and supporting compliance with banking and financial regulations. The ideal candidate will bring experience in banking or financial institution accounting; however, candidates without direct banking experience will be considered if they hold an active CPA license.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee general ledger, month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare and review fin ancial statements and management reports

• • Ensure compliance with regulatory, audit, and internal control requirements
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory examiners
  • Supervise and support accounting staff as applicable
  • Maintain accounting policies and procedures in alignment with best practices
  • Partner with executive leadership to support financial strategy and decision-making
