Health & Safety Coordinator / Distribution / Manufacturing Facility

This a key role in developing safety programs, managing compliance, engaging employees, and ensuring a safe workplace environment. Experience with food safety protocols would be a plus.
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Health & Safety Manager to oversee our organization's health and safety programs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with occupational health standards, implementing safety policies, and fostering a culture of safety within the workplace. This role requires a proactive approach to risk management and the ability to conduct thorough investigations into incidents to prevent future occurrences.
Location: Greensboro
Pay: $30/hour
1st Shift
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies in compliance with OSHA regulations and industry standards.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with environmental regulations, including EPA guidelines.
- Lead root cause analysis investigations for workplace incidents and develop corrective action plans.
- Provide training development for employees on health and safety practices, including CPR and emergency response procedures.
- Manage workers' compensation claims and ensure proper documentation is maintained.
- Collaborate with various departments to promote a safe working environment through effective communication and training initiatives.
- Stay updated on changes in occupational health laws, regulations, and best practices to ensure organizational compliance.
