Job Duties

• Operate Heidelberg printing presses according to job specifications, production codes, and quality standards.
• Follow all quality assurance procedures, perform press checks, and monitor color consistency.
• Complete and maintain job-related documentation, including waste forms and job control sheets.
• Ensure proper line clearance when jobs are complete and oversee Press Helper’s work.
• Make necessary machine adjustments for efficient production and high-quality output.
• Inspect press sheets for position, dryness, registration, and defects, pulling samples at set intervals.
• Maintain proper skid height, label printed skids, and ensure correct job unitization.
• Conduct daily plate checks, mount and return press plates, and manage die vinyl usage.
• Perform preventative maintenance, report mechanical issues, and follow procedures for hazardous waste management.
• Keep a clean and organized work area, complete required training, and handle additional duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Previous experience operating printing presses, including UV presses.
• Proven ability to set up and prepare the press for production.
• Solid understanding of color matching techniques.
• Strong mechanical skills and troubleshooting ability.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule as needed.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in math, computer use, and reading comprehension.
• Must have a positive and professional attitude.
