Job Requirements of Maintenance Technician (3rd Shift):
Primary Responsibilities:
- Execute assigned repair tasks and routine preventive maintenance activities.
- Regularly inspect and maintain the building and its installed systems, including but not limited to manufacturing machinery, plumbing, roofing, drainage systems, grounds, and workshop areas.
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance work, such as painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and troubleshooting PLCs, following established maintenance standards and codes.
- Support the installation, adjustment, or modification of building equipment and systems.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date records of service and replacement activities for building equipment and machinery.
- Report the need for significant repairs or upgrades to the appropriate manager.
- Address facility maintenance and repair issues promptly.
- Propose improvements to maintenance processes or identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify hazardous or malfunctioning conditions.
- Verify that new installations meet safety regulations and building codes.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment at all times.
- Demonstrate a high level of competency and efficiency in all maintenance tasks.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures in all activities.
- Undertake other duties as directed by the Maintenance Manager.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred.
- 3 to 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, PLCs, carpentry, and industrial maintenance.
- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Strong commitment to quality and performance standards.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage workloads effectively.
- Flexibility and adaptability to dynamic priorities, coupled with a positive attitude.
- Experience planning and organizing maintenance projects.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Access, Excel, and Word.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Sound judgment and the ability to make well-informed decisions.
Experience in industrial electrical work or field service is highly desirable.
