Job Requirements of Custodian/Maintenance Technician:
Position Summary
The Custodian/Building Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping the warehouse clean, safe, and well-maintained. This role includes general custodial duties as well as basic building maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate is reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable using basic hand tools to perform repairs with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities Custodial Duties
- Sweep, mop, and maintain cleanliness throughout warehouse aisles, offices, restrooms, and break areas.
- Empty trash, recycling, and waste containers regularly.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, common areas, and high-touch surfaces.
- Maintain cleaning supplies and notify leadership when restocking is needed.
Basic Building Maintenance
- Change light bulbs, fixtures, and batteries as needed.
- Perform minor painting, patching, and touch-ups.
- Assist with basic plumbing tasks (unclogging drains, small leaks, etc.).
- Use basic hand tools to complete simple repairs on doors, shelving, hardware, and facility equipment.
- Identify and report larger maintenance or safety issues.
General Duties
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
- Assist with warehouse projects as needed.
- Follow all company safety and operational procedures.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Ability to use basic hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, hammers, pliers, etc.).
- Prior custodial or maintenance experience preferred; warehouse/industrial setting a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to work independently.
Work Environment & Dress Code
- Warehouse setting with frequent walking, bending, and ladder use.
- Dress Code: Work pants and closed-toe shoes required; company-provided PPE as needed.

Pay Range: $19.00 – $20.50 per hour
