Buyer
Advanced Personnel Resources is seeking a motivated Buyer for an opportunity with our client, a global manufacturing organization located in the heart of the Triad. The Buyer should have a Bachelor's Degree in Business or Supply Chain studies and/or at least 3 years of experience in Inventory Management, Production Planning, or Purchasing. Starting pay is negotiable based on experience.
- Wages: $24-$45 per hour
- Shift: Monday - Friday - Business Hours

Responsibilities for Buyer :
The Operational Buyer will manage and support operations by obtaining goods and/or services required by the organization like:
- Indirect Operations (e.g., Office Supplies, Computers, Travel, Maintenance, Machine Parts, etc.)
- Direct Operations (e.g., Raw Materials and Services for Manufacturing, Production or Construction; Products for Retail, etc.)
- Procurement processes include: Product/Service Sourcing -Supplier Selection and continuously challenging the suppliers
- Evaluate suppliers and establish new supplier relationships
- Lead and negotiate sourcing activities
- Issue RFQ's, negotiate on costs and ensure contracts are fulfilled
- Support departments with changing procurement needs
- Monitor changes in the market to get updated pricing when necessary
- Collaborate with global team on sourcing strategies and needs
Responsibilities for Supply Planner :
- Maintain parts database to ensure the latest parts information is accurate and available in a timely manner. Perform order handling/expediting functions, and daily parts maintenance such as registering new parts, supersessions, and parts requisitions to purchasing, and loading ship dates.
- Conduct review of suppliers’ performance and corrective activity plans by means of logistics’, evaluations, statistics, meetings, presentations, and other relevant communication.
- Resolve internal/external parts discrepancies with distribution centers and suppliers.
- Serve as a liaison between customer service, product support, and purchasing.
- Provide effective customer-focused responses in a timely manner to internal/external customers.

- Prepare, create, and analyze reports and statistics as required.
