Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Operate a squeeze forklift to transport paper rolls from the warehouse and deliver finished rolls to production.
- Ability to read a ruler

Set up slitter blades in accordance with required size combinations.

Load paper rolls into the slitting machine using an automatic lift.

Cut carton cores using a designated bandsaw.

Load cores onto the winding bar and thread paper through the slitter.

Start and monitor machine operations, adjusting pressure and speed as necessary.

Unload finished rolls, stack if required, and complete production logs.

Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work area.

Adhere to all safety protocols, company policies, and procedures.

Work 8–12 hour shifts and overtime as required, including weekends and holidays.

Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Slitter Machine Operator
Position Summary
The Slitter Operator is responsible for the operation of slitting equipment and a core cutting bandsaw. This role includes handling raw materials, machine setup, operation, quality monitoring, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The operator plays a vital part in the production process, ensuring timely and accurate output.
Qualifications and Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Be able to train on 1st shift and then move to 2nd shift.

Ability to work overtime, including Saturdays and holidays.

Capable of standing in one area for up to 60 minutes.
-
Must be able to lift 2–10 lbs continuously and up to 60 lbs occasionally.

Adherence to all safety regulations and the use of required PPE (personal protective equipment).

Primarily a non-climate-controlled indoor manufacturing setting.

Exposure to high noise levels, airborne dust, non-toxic smells, moving mechanical parts, and hot/humid conditions during summer months.

PPE including hearing protection, safety shoes, and eye protection is required.
Physical Demands

Frequent standing, walking, reaching, and handling materials.

Regular use of hands and fingers.

Must be able to lift/move up to 60 pounds occasionally.
