Operations Manager (Furniture Manufacturing)

$225,000/Year

Advanced Personnel Resources is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager (Furniture Manufacturing) for a new opportunity with our client in the Triad. The Operations Manager will oversee the safety and operations of the plant. We are seeking a manager who will foster a positive work environment for the plant to ensure that the plant's objectives for on-time delivery, quality and cost efficiencies are met!


This is a Direct Hire paying between 125-150K

Schedule: Monday–Friday 8 am until 5 pm


RESPONSIBILITIES

Overseeing operations: Managing daily operations, ensuring quality control, and optimizing processes.

Developing strategies: Setting goals and developing strategies to achieve organizational goals.

Leading teams: Motivating and inspiring employees to perform well and exceed expectations.

Managing budgets: Examining financial data to improve profitability and managing budgets and forecasts.

Ensuring safety: Tracking and enforcing safety regulations to minimize the likelihood of incidents.

Communicating job expectations: Clearly defining what is expected of the successful candidate.

Customer service oversight: Overseeing customer service processes to ensure clients receive prompt and efficient assistance.

Logical thinking and problem-solving skills: Identifying things that could be done better and using logic to find solutions.


Daily Tasks:

· Managing Employees

· Identifying and eliminating unsafe conditions in the plant

· Work with the Supply Chain Manager to ensure materials are delivered on-time


Weekly Tasks:

· Backlog Meetings: Working through material and labor issues to ensure we ship on-time

· Reviewing employee efficiencies

Monthly Tasks:

· Submitting monthly sales forecast to the global managing director

· Working with the controller to ensure the plant is aligned with the company's goals and objectives to meet the budget

· Developing Kaizen events to make the plant operate at optimal performance





Job Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS

· A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in furniture manufacturing

· Strong leadership and communication skills.

· Demonstrated ability to motivate and develop a positive workforce

· Knowledge of safety and quality standards in a manufacturing environment.

· Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.

· Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality products.

· Strong organizational and time management abilities.
