Job Requirements of Logistics Manager:
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily logistics operations including transportation, shipping, receiving, and warehousing.
- Develop and implement logistics strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and support company goals.
- Coordinate with vendors, carriers, and third-party logistics providers to ensure timely deliveries.
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with purchasing and production teams to maintain adequate stock.
- Analyze logistics performance metrics and prepare reports for leadership.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and transportation laws.
- Negotiate freight rates and service agreements with carriers and suppliers.
- Lead, train, and supervise logistics and warehouse staff.
- Resolve shipping issues, delays, or discrepancies quickly and professionally.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase productivity and accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration preferred.
- 3+ years of logistics, supply chain, or transportation management experience.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management systems, ERP systems, and logistics software.
- Experience managing vendor and carrier relationships.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Lean, Six Sigma, or supply chain certification.
- Experience with WMS or TMS system.
Direct Hire
Pay Range: $80-90k/yr.

Advanced Personnel Resources is currently seeking a Logistics Manager for our client in the Greensboro area to oversee and optimize supply chain operations.
Ideal candidates will have at least 3 years of recent experience in a logistics/warehouse management role.
This is a 1st shift opportunity and must be flexible to work overtime and weekends, as required.
