Job Requirements of Benefits Specialist:
Job Qualifications:
Minimum:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Three (3) years of Benefits experience
- Three (5) years HR experience
- CBP or CEBS preferred
- Strong knowledge of all federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements and other laws affecting benefit programs including ACA, ERISA, FMLA, COBRA, ADA, Section 125, DOL requirements.
- Retirement plan administration experience.
- Well-versed in Excel and familiar with regulations/compliance (ERISA, ACA, Non-Discrimination Testing, audits, etc.).
- Proficiency in HRIS applications
- Open enrollment experience
- Outsourced vendor project management experience

Benefits Specialist
Advanced Personnel Resources is recruiting for a Benefits Specialist for a 6+ month-long contract assignment with our client located in Greensboro, NC. Ideal candidates will hold a Bachelor's, have 3+ years of experience as a Benefits Analyst, 5+ years of Human Resources, and have a CBP or CEBS certification.
Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm
Pay: $41 per hour
Essential Job Duties:
- Work in partnership with internal departments to deliver Benefits solutions.
- Lead and participate in HR and Benefits-related projects and initiatives for the Company.
- Perform internal audits of Benefits to ensure compliance with company requirements.
- Develop and support Ceridian enhancement projects and reporting requests.
- Facilitate educational efforts for all Benefit system changes.
- Retirement plan administration
