Job Duties
- Plan, schedule, and oversee daily production activities to meet customer demand while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Ensure the efficient use of resources, including labor, materials, and equipment.
- Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure all upholstered products meet company standards.
- Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to address quality concerns and improve product design.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of supervisors, technicians, and production staff.
- Foster a positive and collaborative workplace culture focused on safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Analyze and optimize production workflows to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks or challenges in the manufacturing process.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of raw materials.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage stock to avoid shortages or overages.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Promote a safe working environment and lead initiatives to reduce workplace incidents.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in operations or production management, preferably in the furniture or manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of upholstery manufacturing processes, materials, and equipment.
- Proven leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire employees.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in production planning software and familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Pay: $125-150k/yr.

The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of production and operations at a furniture manufacturing facility. This role requires strong leadership, a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, and the ability to ensure efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery of upholstered products. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in operations management, with experience in furniture manufacturing or a related field.
