Job Requirements of Chemical Operator:
SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:
The primary focus of this job is to perform the production duties assigned by the Production Manager.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Off-load product from bulk container to bulk storage.
- Package products from bulk storage into drums and totes.
- Assure all fittings and closures are secure.
- Affix proper labels to finish goods and raw materials.
- Be able to read, understand, and abide by SDS.
- Understand the NFPA and HMIS labeling systems.
- Maintain a high level of housekeeping in the production facility.
- Miscellaneous maintenance on industrial equipment, e.g. handling wrenches, etc.
- Drive a forklift.
- Load pallets of drums onto truck trailers with a forklift.
- Follow the instructions of the lead chemical operator and supervisor.
- Calculate using basic mathematics.
- Operate Human Machine Interface Computer.
- Responsible for one's own actions in a chemical environment as it relates to the safety of others.
- Running the ALAR waste water system.
- Make confined space entries.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Level: Minimum High school diploma or equivalent
Degree: Associate's degree strongly preferred
EXPERIENCE AND EXPERTISE:
- 1+ years of Microsoft Excel experience, including expertise with advanced functions such as VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.
- Have experience working in a heavy industrial chemical environment.
- US citizenship or a permanent resident visa is required due to export control regulations.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:
- Be able to speak, read, and understand English.
- Abide and follow all safety procedures.
- Be able to wear personal safety equipment provided by the company (gloves, safety goggles, hard hat, and safety shoes) at all times.
- If vision is corrected, eyeglasses must be worn with the proper side shields.
- Be able to lift up to 75 pounds numerous times a day.
- Be able to achieve and maintain a forklift license.
- Basic mathematics, including but not limited to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and percent calculations.
- Work in work clothing, a long-sleeved shirt, and pants (no shorts or tee shirts).
- Effectively communicate using radios.

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Chemical Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining chemical processing equipment, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency throughout production. Benefits
Schedule: Rotating shifts per week—work on one shift per week and then rotate to the other shift the next week—Monday - Friday.
1st shift - 7am - 3:30 pm
2nd shift - 3 pm - 11:30 pm
3rd shift - 11 pm - 7:30 am
