Job Requirements of CMA Certified Medical Assistant:
- Participates in collection of patients general condition i ncluding but not limited to:
- Collect patients? symptoms and documents symptoms for physician.
- Reports all symp toms appropriately to physician.
- Ap propriately takes height, weight , head circumference, and documents appropriately in patient?s medical record.
- Updates all patient immunization records.
- Provides basic patient care as ordered by the physician .
- Appropria tely w e igh patients for sick child visits.
- Keeps rooms and work area neat and orderly.
- Follows physician orders on medication and treatment including but not limited to:
- Collects all specimens and performs all treatments as ordered by physician.
- Administers all immunizations and medications as ordered by physician while following all standing orders and written protocols/policies and procedures.
- Prioritizes duties and uses multitasking skills.
- Documents all activities/interventions, family/patient responses, medication dispensed, immunizations administered, etc. in medical chart.
- Performs walk in immunizations when scheduled, understanding all standing orders of physician.
- Maintain patient newborn records, information sheets, handouts, prescription pads and paper supplies as needed for physician.
- Maintains the phototherapy log with written orders on the log and documented in the EHR, accurately as per physician orders.
- Adheres to infection control/safety guidelines, confidentiality policies, and promotes patient wellness .
- Follows guidelines/regulations set up by OSHA.
- Follows protocol and policy and procedure manual with all specimen collection.
- Provides patients with educational material and communicates physicians? advice/instructions.
- Assists in receiving, collecting, and logging of all blood and non-blood specimens including but not limited to :
- Proper identification of patient specimens.
- Performs all tests as directed in laboratory procedure manual.
- Collects all tests as directed in laboratory manual.
- Documents all test results of patients in appropriate log.
- Records all patient results in laboratory information system or electronic medical record system as is appropriate.
- Maintains equipment and supplies as needed.
- Collects all information on patients. Records all culture information on patients, and reports information to appropriate physician including but not limited to:
- Obtains appropriate patient information of weight, drug allergies, appropriate form of medication, and drug store name for prescription to be called to.
- Identifies patients with known drug allergies.

CMA Certified Medical Assistant
APR is hiring for 2 CMA roles 1 for an Allergy clinic and 1 for an OBGYN clinic. Both roles are full time with similar duties. If you are looking for a great team and work/life balance, apply today!
Schedule - Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm
Pay - $17 - $21 phr
This person will be working with patients & providers, so clinical knowledge and experience, is suggested.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
-taking patient vitals
-taking patient medical history
-medication reconciliation
-exam room set up/clean up
-administering injections
-assisting provider with exam/procedures
-proper sterilization of instruments
-OSHA/HIPAA knowledge
