Job Requirements of Offset Press Operator:
Key Responsibilities:
- Print job items according to company and customer specifications, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
- Operate flexible printing presses according to established procedures.
- Follow all quality guidelines and ISO standards; report any issues or discrepancies to the Press Supervisor.
- Learn and complete all relevant sections of the job jacket, including entering details on waste forms and job control procedure sheets.
- Verify print orders by checking the number of press sheets printed.
- Perform thorough line clearance once jobs are completed, and ensure Press Helper follows the same protocol.
- Oversee the efficiency and quality of work produced by the Press Helper.
- Operate printing presses in accordance with job instructions, production codes, and required quantities.
- Make necessary machine adjustments to ensure high-quality and efficient production.
- Carry out press process checks to maintain consistent quality.
- Ensure printed skids are properly labeled with load/hold tickets, job numbers, operator initials, and the date.
- Confirm that printed skids are stored in the correct holding area and are properly organized.
- Review the scheduling board daily and recommend adjustments as needed.
- Utilize available die vinyl for production.
- Conduct press approvals for new items when required by Sales or customers.
- Ensure all samples and proofs meet the specified requirements.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance as needed.
- Report any mechanical issues with the press to the Press Supervisor.
- Follow procedures for 2-pass production jobs.
- Submit completed job jackets to the scheduling team once a job is finished.
- Wear safety shoes at all times.
- Complete daily time sheets.
- Keep the work area clean and organized.

Our client in Whitsett is seeking an experienced Offset Press Operator to join their team. This position is on a 12 hour night shift from 6pm to 6am and is direct hire with the company.
