Job Requirements of Cutter Machine Operator (2nd Shift):
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Adjust and correct material positioning during the cutting process to achieve clean, precise cuts according to specifications.
- Conduct visual inspections for contamination, cutting defects, or size discrepancies.
- Work closely with the Reel Operator to optimize reel sizing and minimize waste and scrap.
- Maintain a consistent pace while ensuring accuracy in material cutting.
- Follow procedures for reporting non-conforming products in line with ISO Work Instructions.
- Perform both in-process and final inspections.
- Complete relevant sections of the Quality Checklist.
- Document necessary information as required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- 3 to 12 months of relevant manufacturing experience.
- Proven track record of excellent attendance in prior roles.
- Ability to understand and apply ISO Work Instructions.
- Problem-solving skills involving one or two operations, including basic work with fractions, decimals, percentages, and averages, manually or with a calculator.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions as needed.
- Capable of reviewing reports, forms, records, and similar data, interpreting information using basic knowledge of the role.
Physical Requirements
- Stand and/or walk for up to eight hours.
- Use hands to operate shrink wrap machinery and lift boxes.
- Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs; frequently lift up to 25 lbs.
- Work with machinery that has moving parts.
- Exposure to moderate noise levels.
- Maintain close vision for inspecting materials, labels, and documents.
- Push and pull manual and electric pallet jacks.
- Experience brief exposure to unheated or non-air-conditioned warehouse environments.
