Job Duties

• Supervise maintenance activities within budgeted guidelines.
• Performs assigned preventive maintenance tasks.
• Oversee the smooth implementation of new equipment, technology, and product introductions into production operations.
• Review and approve technical documentation, including drawings, manufacturing instructions, specifications, and related materials.
• Collaborate across departments to identify and resolve production issues, ensuring maintenance and engineering efforts contribute to quality, productivity, efficiency, and equipment uptime.
• Supervise daily maintenance and production floor activities, ensuring adherence to established procedures and operational standards.
• Work closely with the Engineering Planner to coordinate staffing schedules; including weekdays, weekends, and vacation coverage to minimize overtime and maintain balanced workloads.
• Monitor and control maintenance parts inventory to optimize cost efficiency while ensuring critical components remain available. Ensure full compliance with asset protocols and data entry requirements.
• Participate in interviewing, evaluating, and selecting new team members for the Maintenance Department.
• Perform regular safety inspections, monitor employee work practices, and lead job-specific safety and food safety training.
• Enforce all housekeeping, safety, and plant policies to ensure a safe, compliant, and efficient work environment.
• Oversee maintenance and operation of the facility’s waste treatment systems, as well as building and grounds upkeep.
• Participate in the “On Call Schedule.”
• Performs other duties as directed by management.

Job Requirements

• 3 or more years of recent experience as a maintenance supervisor or manager.
• Familiarity with Office Rooms, Chillers, Pressurization Pumps, Lights.
• Experience managing maintenance employees.
• Experience in Welding, Electrical repairs, Industrial Equipment installations, alignment, start-up repairs, electrical, pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Flexible for weekends and on-call hours, as required.
