Inspector

Advanced Personnel Resources is seeking an inspector to join the team of a local company! This individual will have an eye for detail, and have great attendance!

Responsibilities:

• Insure that all controls are set properly. Inspect finished fabric for defects; communicate with supervisor about fabric needing the highest priority with respect to timely shipments.
•  
• Pick up and insert bar into roll of fabric (bar weighs about 30 lbs.), Load fabric on machine and take roll of fabric off machine with a hand hoist, rack or hoist.
•  
• Perform all computer transactions to insure proper material tracking and clarification.
•  
• Check to make sure fabric meets requirements such as length, width, bow/bias, etc.
•  
• Maintain accurate production log reporting all fabric wasted, all good yardage and the defects you cut out. This is done on a daily basis.
•  
• Improve fabric condition by using torch, slitting, blades, etc.
•  
• Check to make sure all splices meet customer requirements.
•  
• Responsible for wrapping rolls and sending to packing station along with proper piece ticket after doffing.
•  
• Responsible for general housekeeping.
•  
• Be familiar with ISO TS 16949 management representative, quality policy, and have some awareness of the policy.
•  
• Be aware of who the EMS-ISO 14001 Management representative is, fact sheet awareness and the environmental policy.
•  
• Other duties as required by shift manager, lead person, or manager.
