Job Description

General Roles and responsibilities (Essential Functions):



•         Oversee all activities of the accounting department including general accounting, billing, A/R, A/P, month end close,                     financial reporting, payroll, tax and commission administration as well as cash management.



•         Responsible for all aspects of financial accounting and reporting, including analysis, interpretation, and presentation of f               financial statements.


Main tasks:



•         Manage day to day cash activities; monitoring all transactions closely to ensure integrity in cash reporting.



•         Manage accounting employees, including Assistant Controller, Billing Specialist, and


          Payroll Specialist. Oversee the accounting department’s daily routines to ensure smooth, effective, and efficient daily                  work practices.



•         Responsible for maintaining the accounting system and internal controls to provide


          accurate, timely financial statements and to provide effective control over the assets


           and revenues of the company.



•         Assist in closing procedures at month end, prepare accruals and journal entries, and maintain reconciliations for all key                 balance sheet accounts in accordance with accepted accounting principles.



•         Responsible for the accurate preparation of the monthly and quarterly Financial Reports.



•         Enters records for Fixed Assets and computes Depreciation.



•         Monitors loan balances and records entries as necessary.



•         Responsible for filing and paying all taxes (Sales & Use, OH CAT, GST, and Corporate)



•         Act as liaison with Auditors, both Internal and External, to collect data and provide assistance as required.



•         Assist employees, vendors, clients, or customers by answering questions related to accounting, procedures and services.

Job Requirements

Knowledge/Experience/Skills:



•         Bachelor’s degree required.



•         5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.



•         Must possess the ability to understand departmental operations and procedures.



•         Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office required.



•         SAP knowledge preferred.
