Credit Analyst


Our client, an international leader in their industry, has an immediate opening for a Credit Analyst to manage an assigned segment of the company's Accounts Receivable Portfolio with the directive of minimizing credit risk and reducing Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).


Responsibilities:


  • Establish and maintain credit lines in accordance with company policy utilizing authorized levels and procedures. Process requires financial analysis and the review of information obtained by the analyst from the bank, trade and credit reporting sources to determine the customer’s financial capacity and condition.

  • Manage collection of accounts receivable for assigned portfolio through effective communication including telephone calls and customer visits as necessary.

  • Respond to trade credit reference requests as needed.

  • Attend credit groups as required.

  • Prepare and provide weekly Cash Flow Projection and Past Due Report to the Credit Manager and other information as needed.  In addition to anticipated payments, the analyst will notify the Credit Manager of potential risks (i.e. customer closing, bankruptcy, change in payment habits, etc.).

  • Review daily credit hold report for credit approval. The analyst should notify the Credit Manager of factors prohibiting the release of orders.

  • Provide effective communication internally and externally.


Job Requirements

  • 2 or 4 year degree with emphasis in accounting or business management preferred.

  • Credit and collections experience is required.

  • Minimum of one year experience in Financial Statement Analysis.

  • Must have basic understanding of Credit and Accounting Principles and excellent communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Excel and Word

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, high pressure environment.

  • Bi-lingual a plus.
