Director of Financial Planning and Analysis

Our client, an international industry leader with operations in the Triad (central NC), has an immediate opening for a Director of Financial Planning & Analysis.  Reporting to the Division’s CFO, the Director of FP&A will lead and drive global financial process, forecasting, reporting and consolidation.  Will oversee 3 direct reports and all the division’s financial processes including: the annual operating plan, forecast and pacing updates, long range plans and reporting. 


  • Manage planning and forecasting team to accurately manage all financial deliverables: annual plan, forecast cycles, monthly and quarterly reporting packages, and ad hoc analysis.
  • Load and consolidate data in the ERP system – both plan and actual.
  • Understand critical systems and tools necessary to build financial forecasts.
  • Analyze trends to identify risks and opportunities to the forecast.
  • Establish the corporate calendar for all financial deliverables and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Partner with functional and facility teams and lead their budgeting process – including budget to actual reviews and annual planning.
  • Develop complex finance models.
  • Project management experience and ‘roll-up sleeves’ to get job done attitude.
  • Ad-hoc projects and analysis / other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, required.
  • CPA and/or MBA highly preferred.
  • 10+ years of accounting or financial analysis experience in a manufacturing environment, required.
  • Prior FP&A experience with the ability to effectively lead a large organization through process from start to finish is highly desired. 
  • Ability to influence across multiple levels and multiple functional teams, required.
  • Advanced MS Office Suite skills; especially Excel and PPT.
  • ERP systems experience required, advanced Hyperion a plus.
  • Strong analytical and modeling skills, and experience in supporting business case development, forecasting, and budgeting, required.
