Financial Analyst - Sales & Marketing Operations

Expansion career opportunity!  Our client, an industry leader with operations in the Triad (central NC) is a well established, stable and growing company.  

The Financial Analyst supports business activities and processes that contribute to the financial success of the sales and marketing functions of the Company.  Acting as a key liaison between the financial department and sales and marketing functions, the Finance Analyst significantly impacts the organizations ability to meet key targets. 

Support marketing financial analytics:

  • Develop and analyze the annual marketing budget and weekly forecast.
  • Support the month-end closing to assure that all marketing accounts are reconciled between the marketing database and the general ledger.
  • Maintain marketing master spreadsheet.
  • Reconcile GL to marketing tracking spreadsheet.
  • Set up, maintain and post all marketing programs.
  • Process all marketing allowances.
  • Run sales report to calculate customer marketing accruals.
  • Support customer programs team with marketing allowances.
  • Support customer programs on P&L analysis.
  • Support the marketing team by accounting for all expenditures in marketing database, including purchase orders, invoices and general ledger adjustments.

 Support sales financial analytics:

  • Commission accrual, analysis, reconciliation and payments made on time and accurately providing tight financial view for management.
  • Special marketing projects as required by sales and/or management including audit requests, year-end reconciliations and reporting.
  • Support/lead commission agreements, review and integration.
  • Support IT functions related to commissions.
  • Manage Rep Agent reporting.

Job Requirements

  • BS / BA degree in accounting/finance or business.
  • 3-5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, MS Office suite – Advanced Excel skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
