Job Description

  • Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment. Troubleshoot machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.
  • Dismantle defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
  • Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears and other parts of machinery.
  • Installs and repairs components of machinery and equipment.
  • Lay out, assemble, install and maintains operational systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment and repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
  • Install, program or repair automated machinery and equipment such as robots or programmable controllers.
  • Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs and fixtures, and tools.
  • Comprehend technical literature (i.e. equipment and operating manuals), safety literature (i.e. lockout/tagout procedures, safety bulletins, MSDS sheets), and plant policy manuals.
  • Understand production processes and operation of machinery for troubleshooting purposes.
  • Assemble machinery according to blueprints and manuals which may include:
  • Fabricating parts for equipment projects as necessary (i.e. drill castings).
  • Inspecting parts for accuracy and quality.
  • Filing/grinding/deburring, measuring parts to ensure proper fit.
  • Installing bearings, seals, shafts, gears, cams, lube systems, pneumatic systems, vacuum
  • systems, etc.
  • Performs assigned preventive maintenance tasks as needed.

Job Requirements

  • Knowledge of the Metric System. Must be able to use and read all types of metric measuring tools and equipment.
  • Valid Driver’s License - Must be able to be approved for car rental companies, may also use company vehicle to pick up parts or run local errands for the company (clean driving record).
  • Must be willing and able to travel internationally for machinery training.
  • Must hold or be able to qualify for a passport.
  • 3 or more years of recent experience as an industrial repair/maintenance mechanic.
  • Experience in CNC, Welding, Electrical repairs, Industrial Equipment installations, alignment, start-up repairs, etc.
  • Flexible to work hours as required
