Job Requirements of Machine Set Up Operator:

JOB FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Independently set up and operate a variety of manufacturing equipment requiring specialized skill or expertise.
- Read and interpret blueprints and follow detailed work instructions.
- Investigate quality issues and resolve conflicts related to routing, inspection instructions, and blueprints.
- Produce products in a timely manner while adhering to all Quality System requirements.
- Achieve proficiency on all equipment and setups within the work cell within 60 days of hire.
- Become proficient in completing all required paperwork for the area within 30 days.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Train team members as needed.
- Utilize essential computer skills to efficiently complete assignments.
- Use Lean tools and actively participate in Lean events and High-Performance Teams.
- Participate in 5S activities as requested by management.
- Troubleshoot issues as they arise; demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.
- Work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Work overtime when required, including weekends.
- Maintain a safe workplace by complying with all safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties and assignments as directed by management.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a manufacturing environment.
- Communication: Must be able to read, write, and understand English for safety and quality.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Medium proficiency.
- Math Skills: Ability to perform three-digit addition and subtraction, multi-digit multiplication and division, convert fractions to decimals, and follow formulas for conversions (e.g., SF to LF).
- Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to stand, use hands for handling or feeling, reach with hands/arms, talk, and hear.
- Frequently required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 lbs, and frequently lift/move up to 10 lbs.
