Job Requirements of Tig Welder:
Key Responsibilities
- Weld metal parts together using TIG welding equipment
- Join different types of metal pieces, including flat sheets and tube components
- Perform basic hand welds, small repairs, and touch-ups as needed
- Prepare materials for welding by cutting, shaping, and forming
- Complete finishing work such as grinding, smoothing, and inspecting welded parts
- Read and follow work instructions and basic drawings
- Measure parts using tools like tape measures and calipers to ensure accuracy
- Report any issues with materials, instructions, or equipment to a supervisor
- Keep work area clean, organized, and safe at all times
- Follow all company safety rules, attendance policies, and procedures
- Accurately track time and work completed
Qualifications
- Previous TIG welding experience preferred
- Ability to read basic blueprints or work instructions
- Comfortable using measuring tools
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and maintain required certifications (renewed yearly)
