Job Requirements of Freight Forwarding Agent:
- Assist customers with freight and freight documentation
- Communicate effectively with customers, carriers and employees
- Securing adequate capacity for freight
- Contracted for freight processing services
- Ensure timely dispatch of freight
- Allocate freight costs to individual customer accounts from the Carrier freight invoices
- Assist in appointment of freight deliveries
- Accompany management in receiving/unloading freight
- Operate a forklift Loading and unloading of freight Proper checking and counting of freight Correctly manifest and notate freight
- Ensure all sea freight operations within assigned territory
- Secure freight using pre-qualified carrier database
- Filing and handling freight claims on behalf of customers
- Providing exceptional service to meet freight and logistics needs
- Prevent shifting, falling and damage to the freight
- Break down freight to Ti-Hi form
- Maintain files tracking accessorial freight charges and invoice inaccuracies
- Secure freight via phone, internet, and networking
- Maintain relationships and service agreements with global freight provider network
- Move freight using appropriate freight handling equipment to appropriate trailers to be loaded according to specifications on manifests or other paperwork
- Ensuring safe and efficient delivery of freight to final destination

Freight Forwarding Agent
APR is hiring for a Freight Forwarding Agent to handle Import shipments via air and sea! This role is hiring ASAP so if you have worked with a freight fowrader before, apply today!
The schedule for this position is Monday to Friday 8a to 5p
Pay Range is $50 - $60k depending on experience
The MUST HAVES
- International Logistics Experience (air, ocean, multimodal, drayage)
- Import experience specifically (export only will not be sufficient)
- Experience working for a freight forwarding company, not in the logistics department of a manufacturer.
