Operations Manager Freight Forwarding Exp

We are hiring for an Operations Manager in Greensboro! This is a full time position and requires freight forwarding experience specifically within Air and Ocean logistics

• Oversee a team of 5 domestic and international team members
• Assist customers with freight and freight documentation
• Communicate effectively with customers, carriers and employees
• Securing adequate capacity for freight
• Contracted for freight processing services
• Ensure timely dispatch of freight
• Allocate freight costs to individual customer accounts from the Carrier freight invoices
• Assist in appointment of freight deliveries
• Accompany management in receiving/unloading freight
• Ensure all sea freight operations within assigned territory
• Secure freight using pre-qualified carrier database
• Filing and handling freight claims on behalf of customers
• Providing exceptional service to meet freight and logistics needs
• Prevent shifting, falling and damage to the freight
• Break down freight to Ti-Hi form
• Maintain files tracking accessorial freight charges and invoice inaccuracies
• Secure freight via phone, internet, and networking
• Maintain relationships and service agreements with global freight provider network
• Move freight using appropriate freight handling equipment to appropriate trailers to be loaded according to specifications on manifests or other paperwork
• Ensuring safe and efficient delivery of freight to final destination
