Manager, Accounts Receivable

OPENING DUE TO PROMOTION!  Our client, an international leader in their industry, has an immediate opening for a Manager of Accounts Receivable.  Reporting to the Director of AP and AR, responsibilities include:  

  • Manage and lead in department operations to ensure receivable functions are being performed in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
  • Manage the Accounts Receivable staff including feedback and developmental discussions.
  • Develop and maintain accounts receivable reports through Business Objects, AX Dynamics and/or Manbase/Lawson to help monitor customer balances and payment trends.
  • Partner with Key Personnel on new business initiatives to ensure invoicing and receivables management procedures are met within established parameters.
  • Assist in implementing accounts receivable automation projects to promote better efficiencies and reduce manual transactions.
  • Handle customer escalations when required, balancing the need to fulfill fiduciary responsibilities while providing top-notch customer service to customers. Escalates more serious collection issues and account balances to Manager.
  • Comply with established and published SOX requirements and make recommendations to improve the internal control structure as necessary.
  • Identify accounts receivable issues and work with appropriate departments to resolve.
  • Assist implementation and testing of new programs, processes, and upgrades as necessary.
  • Perform backup functions for accounts receivable daily responsibilities and tasks.
  • Complete special projects as required.

Job Requirements

  • BS or BA degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • CPA or CMA, preferred
  • 8+ years of related experience and / or training
  • Leadership and management experience, required.
