Accounting and Payroll Manager

Our client, an industry leader, has an immediate need for a Payroll / Benefits Administrator.

OBJECTIVE / PURPOSE
Responsible for 
managing group insurance benefits including benefits administration, enrollments/terminations, as well as billing and reconciliation.  Also for overseeing the timely and accurate processing of payroll. 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS

  • Process biweekly and monthly payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees, multiple locations
  • Update and maintain payroll records including deductions, banking details and tax information
  • Manage all tax filings and compliance requirements
  • Back up for payroll and 401k reconciliation for Finance & Accounting
  • Develop and facilitate payroll training
  • Prepare weekly, monthly and yearly reports as needed
  • Assist employees with routine payroll and benefits inquiries ensuring timely and courteous resolution
  • Participate in the new hire process by inputting information into the HRIS
  • Working knowledge of all benefits plans
  • Manage group benefit programs including: medical, dental, COBRA, disability, supplemental products, FSA, ACA
  • Stay up-to-date and in compliance with ACA and other payroll and benefits requirements and best practices
  • Manage group insurance Open Enrollment process-data analysis, system set-up, employee communication
  • Serve as back-up for ECS system management and training support as needed
  • Work with Employee Events Committee responsible for suggesting and planning all corporate employee relations events, activities and community service projects
  • Continuously seeks new ways to improve processes
  • Other duties as assigned.



 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree.  Business Administration / Benefits Administration a plus.
  • 5+ years of progressive benefits administration and some payroll experience required.
  • In depth understanding of state and federal regulations related to employee wages and benefits required.
