Job Description

  • POSITION DESCRIPTION


The Purchasing and inventory is responsible for reviewing new orders and secure a ship date (based on stock availability). She will also place all the PO for inventory, special orders, fabrics etc. He/she will also be involved with receiving inventory.


  • PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY

  • Review orders and secure a ship date

  • Print and match PO from Italy

  • Place PO from Italy and domestic supplier

  • Receive inventory from suppliers

  • Follow up with supply chain to make sure there are no late orders

  • Work with customer service to inform them of ship dates

  • Work with customer services for any supply chain related issue

  • SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITY

  • Filing

  • Participate in inventory count (at least yearly)

  • Review inventory issues

Job Requirements

  • SKILLS / BACKGROUND REQUIRED

  • Previous 2+ years of experience with inventory

  • Previous 2+ years of experience in purchasing

  • Excellent communication skills with customers and agents

  • Customer oriented mind-set, with a view of customer satisfaction excellence thru simple and efficient communication, follow up, professional behavior and attitude

  • Excellent computer knowledge, especially Outlook, Word and Excel

  • Previous experience with an ERP system such as JD Edwards, SAP, AS400 etc.

  • Attention to the details

  • Flexible

  • Capable to multitask
