Job Description

 Advanced Personnel Resources is currently working with a large furniture manufacturer on a Manager of Domestic Procurement. This is a direct hire opportunity with a rapidly growing company. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 10 years of procurement management experience in the furniture industry as well as a Bachelor's degree. Position is responsible for representing the company in all domestic procurement including supplier review, procurement and contract negotiations.



Job Duties:

  • Manage procurement and purchasing department to ensure continuous improvement of staff
  • Assist with planning and managing budgetary flow of the department
  • Review and manage order flow to ensure on-time delivery with avoiding inventory surplus
  • Review suppliers and pursue cost reduction including supplier development and review
  • Coordinate with sales team on outsource costs and quotations for processes
  • Provide quotes for facilities needs and develop process for procurement trends


Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required preferably in supply chain or management
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience or equivalent combination of education 
  • Strong inventory and production planning skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multi tasks simultaneously 
  • Well organized
  • Superior communication skills
  • Epicor experience highly preferred
