Advanced Personnel Resources is currently seeking an experienced Purchaser/Buyer for one of our fortune 100 companies. The Purchaser/Buyer will be responsible for full cycle estimating, implementation and supplier relations. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 5 years purchasing experience and must have a Bachelors Degree.

  • Manage Full cycle purchasing/ Buyer relationships

  • Estimate Supplier tooling costs for development phase, and actual implementation and production phases.

  • Update suppliers on changes in purchasing needs.

  • Ensure all deliverables from suppliers are acquired for production needs.

  • Present all purchasing estimates in Business Review Meetings

  • Negotiate changes to purchasing needs based on differences in projected needs and actual demands.

  • Ensure all suppliers are prepared for production needs prior to start of implementation.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of purchasing and estimating experience

  • Degree in business management, finance or related field.

  • Background in quality management

  • Excellent written and verbal skills

  • Positive work attitude with ability to work independently and on a team

  • Ability to work cross-functionally throughout the organization

  • Willing to travel when necessary

  • Excel, PowerPoint and MS Office proficiency
