Job Description

SUMMARY:

To prepare shipments to the meet on time delivers and total customers satisfactions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Follow all general safety regulations and use provided safety equipment as required. See JSA & PDA for this position for details safety instructions.
  • Understand ISO 9001 requirements
  • To follow instructions given by Lead or Supervisor
  • To load and unload any trucks involving all customers
  • To follow all special instructions on all orders
  • Communicate with all departments involving quality of products
  • Communicate with Transportation involving all truck issues
  • Communicate with lead and supervisors with any issues pertaining to orders.
  • Follow dock audit procedures for all trucks.
  • To load efficiently to have the most productive time.
  • Keep area neat, organized and clean as well as follow 5S principles as they are appropriate.
  • Cross train in other positions as required.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed by the employee’s supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or up to six months related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Some relevant computer skills are needed to enter data as required and print paper work as needed.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and interpret documents and training materials such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills are required.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Basic math skills required to include addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of numbers, decimal and fractions.
