Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree in electronics, electrical technology, or a related field strongly preferred.
- Proven experience in servicing industrial battery systems, charging units, or comparable electrical/mechanical systems.
- In-depth knowledge of battery maintenance protocols, diagnostic procedures, and system-level troubleshooting.
- Proficient in interpreting technical documentation, including wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and service manuals.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in field environments with minimal supervision.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a customer-focused and professional demeanor.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing tasks that require bending, climbing, or extended periods of standing.
Technical Skills
- AC/DC electrical training certification or equivalent coursework.
- Familiarity with industry-standard battery safety protocols, including proper handling, charging procedures, and hazardous material disposal.
- Foundational knowledge of electrical and mechanical diagnostic tools, repair techniques, and system integration.
- Prior experience in customer-facing roles, technical support, or service-oriented environments.

Field Service Technician
Advanced Personnel Resources is currently seeking an experienced Field Service Technician for our client in Greenville. This position executes field diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and repair services on diverse battery technologies, charging infrastructure, and associated battery handling systems.
Job Duties
- Perform on-site diagnostics, maintenance, and technical service on a range of industrial battery systems, charging infrastructure, and battery handling equipment.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system faults in battery units and charging stations in alignment with operational standards and safety regulations.
- Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance activities, including system testing, component cleaning, and replacement of defective parts to ensure optimal performance.
- Communicate technical findings, system conditions, and repair recommendations to customers clearly and professionally, including relevant safety information.
- Accurately document service activities, including diagnostics, repairs, parts utilization, and any suggested corrective actions for future servicing.
- Coordinate with technical support and logistics teams to ensure timely service execution, parts availability, and customer satisfaction.
- Support inventory control efforts by managing service vehicle stock levels and requisitioning required parts and tools.
- Travel to client sites as required, maintaining schedule flexibility to meet varying customer demands and project timelines.
