This role involves providing on-site technical support, maintenance, and troubleshooting for complex electrical and mechanical systems across various manufacturing and industrial environments. Job Requirements:

Duties

  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems including low voltage, high voltage, sensors, and distributed control systems in industrial settings.
  • Perform calibration and alignment of precision measuring instruments, vision inspection systems, and sensors to ensure operational accuracy.
  • Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals using AutoCAD and other design tools.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on machinery such as CNC machines, manufacturing equipment, and automation systems including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and Calypso software.
  • Diagnose electrical issues utilizing tools such as ohmmeters, multimeters, and other diagnostic instruments; implement effective solutions promptly.
  • Support system upgrades and modifications involving E & I (Electrical & Instrumentation) components; assist with the integration of new technologies.
  • Collaborate with customers to provide technical support during field service visits; deliver training on system operation and maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards related to high voltage and low voltage electrical work; adhere to all industry regulations.
  • Assist in the development of schematics for new installations or modifications using AutoCAD; contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain detailed service reports, documentation of repairs, calibrations, and system configurations for future reference.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an industrial electrician or electrical technician within manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulics, mechanical systems, sensors, calibration procedures, and precision measurement instruments.
  • Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCS), CNC machinery, and vision inspection systems.
  • Familiarity with E & I (Electrical & Instrumentation) schematics, AutoCAD for designing or modifying electrical layouts.
  • Ability to read complex schematics and technical manuals; proficient in using Ohmmeters and other diagnostic tools.
  • Experience working with high voltage (HV) systems safely; knowledge of low voltage (LV) electrical standards.
  • Background in industrial maintenance practices including troubleshooting mechanical issues alongside electrical problems.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
  • Knowledge of Calypso software is a plus; military background in electronics or maintenance is advantageous.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude combined with experience in manufacturing environments involving CNC or automation equipment.
  • Willingness to travel extensively for field service visits; capable of working independently in diverse settings.
