Job Requirements of Bookkeeper:

- Reconciling accounts payable and receivable accounts, tracking and recording payments and deposits
- Perform accounts payable, accounts receivable, general accounting, clerical and data entry
- Analyze monthly accounts payable report against actual statements
- Account receivable accounts to the general ledger
- Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and collections
- Generating invoices to customer accounts
- Maintain general ledger account by reconciling accounts receivable detail and control accounts
- Oversee the bookkeeping function including maintenance of the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll

Bookkeeper
Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to manage our financial records and ensure the accuracy of our accounting processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various accounting software and principles, with a focus on maintaining financial integrity and compliance with GAAP standards. This role requires a proactive approach to bookkeeping, including managing accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
Skills
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Quicken, Sage, Xero, or similar accounting software is essential.
- Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles as well as non-profit and governmental accounting practices.
- Familiarity with public accounting standards and technical accounting concepts.
- Expertise in double entry bookkeeping and general ledger reconciliation processes.
- Ability to perform account analysis and prepare detailed financial reports effectively.
- Knowledge of budgeting techniques and financial forecasting methods.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent 10-key typing skills for accurate data entry.
Schedule - Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm
Key Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree with accounting coursework required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business preferred.
- Minimum of 4 - 5 years of experience preferred
Key Experience:
- Journal entries within an ERP system
- Double entry bookkeeping experience.
- Basic reporting (financial statement analysis not required)
- Adjusting journal entries.
- Month-end closing duties.
