Job Description

Machinists needed.  Metal Fabrication company in Greensboro.  

If you have experience with press brake or machinist experience, we want to speak with you!

Location - Greensboro

$16-22 /hour depending on experience.

SUMMARY
A Fabricator is able to cut and form material for industrial parts to drawing specifications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following: Other duties may be assigned. Safely operating in all areas is mandatory.

  • 1-3 years of experience minimum.
  • Able to work safely, follow all rules and meet quality standards.
  • Set up press brake, rolls, shear, and saw based on the job at hand.
  • Able to read drawings to determine the specific requirements.
  • Able to saw, shear, and form with press break independently.
  • Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task.
  • Able to provide support to team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
  • Able to assemble items as instructed by shop foreman.
  • Able to prepare product for shipment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk or hear, stand, walk, reach, feel by touch, stoop, kneel, bend and crouch. Employee spends the majority of the day standing at a machine station.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment will frequently contain one or more of the following: loud machine noises, risk of cuts, abrasions, electrical shock, vibration and pinch points from high speed cutting devices and pressing devices. Personal Protective Equipment, engineering controls, defined procedures and specialized training are provided to reduce hazard exposure risks.

WORK HOURS
A Metal Fabricator typically works an assigned 10-hour shift Monday through Thursday. In addition, the Turret Punch Operator may be subject to an on-call schedule to include nights, weekends and holidays. Likewise, hours may be reduced during periods of reduced workload or demand.

DRESS CODE
A Turret Punch Operator is required to wear long pants, heavy duty work shoes, and shirts appropriate for a machine shop (not loose, baggy, or ripped).
