Job Description

Summary: Responsible for assisting the Accounting Department by maintaining information accuracy and detailed records and by performing the stated duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  1. Handles data entry of contribution envelopes in ACS computer system.*

  1. Prepares daily deposits.*

  1. Collects funds for the afterschool program, the summer program and other ministries.*

  1. Provides assistance with month-end closing.*

  1. Reconciliation of general ledger.*

  1. Provides general assistance to the accounting departments

  1. Additional duties as assigned.*

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of spreadsheet software.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); with one to two years of accounting experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
