Job Description

Advanced Personnel Resources is seeking a Litigation Case Manager to service a large Law Firm in the Triad. This role will operate in a very fast paced / high volume environment and will be responsible for managing all of the the day-to-day casework within the Mass Torts department to provide direct assistance to the Attorney(s).



DUTIES

  • Responsible for managing the day-to-day casework of the assigned personal injury litigation cases.
  • Excellent written & oral communications, customer service, organization & computer skills.
  • Maintains client confidentiality.
  • Must be able to multi task to handle tasks quickly and tactfully with all staff levels and the public;
  • Assists Attorney (s) with client cases and legal issues, including mediation, arbitration, trials, motions, oral and written advocacy.
  • May assist with conducting research and other details in preparation for trials or hearings.
  • Prepares legal and court documents; schedules appropriate meetings and case events; interfaces with the client on non-legal issues relating to the management of the case; refers legal issues to the appropriate attorney(s).
  • Conducts case preparation for multi-district litigation; submits appropriate information and legal forms/documents to the appropriate organization related to specific mass torts litigation; understands forms and procedures relating to mass torts litigation.
  • Obtains pertinent case information and data from the client; analyzes, reviews and prepares the data/information into case relevant notes.
  • Upon case settlement, follows case management orders as directed by the applicable court system.

Job Requirements

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENT

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Minimum of 2 years prior federal litigation and/or mass torts litigation
  • Must have experience to  include filings for multi-district and state litigation, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • North Carolina e-filing system experience is preferred
  • Occasional travel required.
