Position Description Overview:

This position, reporting to the Materials Management Supervisor is responsible for inventory levels and fills rates in an aftermarket parts distribution system. Effective and accurate communication with outside suppliers and internal departments is essential. Extensive planning, forecasting, negotiation, and the coordination of delivery schedules will provide measurable targets such as fill rates, turn rates, backorder lines and dollars.

 

Responsibilities:

· Maintain parts database to ensure the latest parts information is accurate and available in a timely                   manner.  Perform order handling/expediting functions, and daily parts maintenance such as registering new parts, supersessions, and parts requisitions to purchasing, and loading ship dates.

· Conduct review of suppliers’ performance and corrective activity plans by means of logistics’, evaluations, statistics, meetings, presentations, and other relevant communication.

·  Resolve internal/external parts discrepancies with distribution centers and suppliers.

·  Serve as a liaison between customer service, product support, and purchasing.

·  Provide effective customer-focused responses in a timely manner to internal/external customers.

·  Prepare, create, and analyze reports and statistics as required.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

· College Degree in relevant field or 3 years’ experience in Inventory Management, Production Planning, or Purchasing.

· Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and knowledge of Access is desirable.

· Strong communication skills both verbal and written

· Strong math, problem solving, and analytical skills is required.

· Ability to work independently.
