Advanced Personnel Resources is seeking experienced Collections Representatives for a new opportunity with our client here in the Triad. Collections Representatives make outbound collections calls or receive incoming calls as a third-party agency for collecting past due funds, initiating appropriate actions, and maintaining records in accordance with State and Federal Laws.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reviews the status of delinquent accounts and initiate collection action by contacting accounts.
  • Makes outgoing phone calls to make arrangements with consumers for debt to be paid in full or negotiate payment terms when applicable.
  • Takes incoming calls and works on the account as needed.
  • Contacts attorneys, insurance companies and loan officers to facilitate the liquidation of assets.
  • Uses software system to key in “Action Codes” to denote specific actions taken on each account.
  • Performs file maintenance on consumer accounts when necessary
  • Meets defined quotas monthly.
  • Counsels consumers as to the effect accounts will have on their credit report and products available to them to clear debts.

Job Requirements

Required Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Basic understanding of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) is desired.
