Human Resources Generalist / Manager

Our client, a national leader in their industry, has an immediate need for an HR Generalist / Manager for their Triad-based operation (central NC).  Reporting to the VP of Human Resources, the HR Generalist / Manager  oversees all functions of the HR Department including: policies, programs and services.  An important function of the HR Generalist / Manager is to work with the department managers in the company, assisting and advising them on Human Resources policies and procedures. 

Job Requirements

  • 4 year degree and/or PHR/SPHR certification preferred.   
  • At least 5 years' progressive HR experience.  Manufacturing or distribution environment a plus.  
  • Understands NC employment law, leaves of absence, strong recruiting skills, knowledge of safety and able to use HRIS system/database to enter new hires, pay increases, performance reviews, benefits, run reports, etc.  Must be familiar with Affirmative Action and OSHA Laws.

  • Active affiliation (or interest in becoming an active affiliate) with SHRM and/or the local chapter HRMAG.
