Job Description

Advanced Personnel Resources is currently seeking an experienced logistics and distribution manager for one of our clients here in Greensboro. This position is a direct hire opportunity for a growing manufacturing and distribution company. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in LTL transportation and warehouse management. 

Job Duties:

  • Negotiate and monitor shipping rates with external 3PL companies
  • Manage receiving and shipping staff and their day to day processes
  • Coordinate all internal logistics both for external shipments and internal warehouse movements
  • Work directly with customer support team to ensure timely shipments
  • Schedule all important container movements
  •  Assist with coordinating for furniture market
  • Troubleshoot and monitor any shipping related issues
  • Run daily reports and monitoring billing issues 

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of an associates degree in transportation and logistics
  • Minimum of 5 years management of a team of 5+ individuals
  • Certified in Forklift 
  • Must be able to travel up to 5% of the time
